Photo Blog #4: Isostasy  I chose a very weird combination for this experiment. Living in the dorms I do not have too much access to many pools of liquid large enough to float something in other than the toilets, so that's what I used.  (Friday 4/22 @ 12:02 AM) This image shows me dropping a chicken finger into one of the dorm's toilets, I feel like I have to be very clear that this is a CHICKEN FINGER before showing the next image. (Friday 4/22 @ 12:02 AM) Isostasy is involved here because the chicken finger is just barely floating in the toilet. It is mostly submerged and only a small portion of the tip is above the water. Basically, this means the densities are almost the same, with the chicken finger being slightly less dense. Apologies if this post is weird...I was very curious to see how this would turn out.

Photo Blog #3: Erosion (Taken 4/10/2022 @ 6:52 PM) (Taken 4/10/2022 @ 6:52 PM) I wasn't able to get many photos of my geological feature since I saw it during my train ride back to San Luis Obispo from my hometown. I took pictures of some of the areas around the train tracks. There are clear signs of erosion in the rock. This area is near the coast line so most of the erosion is most likely from water.

While it is not really a geographical feature, it has experienced clear weathering. I would say the main weather...

Photo Blog #1: Interesting Rock (Taken 4/3/2022 @ 12:09 PM) (Taken 4/3/2022 @ 12:09 PM) This is the rock I found and have chosen to use in the upcoming assignments. It is a dark grey-ish black color with white streaks throughout it. Since I live on campus, I decided to find my rock here. I found this rock in a flower bed area outside Philips Hall. There was a wide variety of other rocks around where I found this one, most likely because it is a mix of rocks meant for landscaping. For this same reason, I doubt this is where this rock naturally formed.  (Taken 4/3/2022 @ 12:10 PM)
